Stories from Moms in Need
As our ministry grows, we share our experiences in hope that it can help or encourage another woman.
On The Road To Tomorrow
A single mom in the Momentum Single Mothers group lost her vehicle a few years ago and had been relying on transportation that was unsustainable. A member of St. Anthony of Padua approached a Walking with Moms in Need core member to find a resource for donating a car to a single mom. The core team member connected the parishioner with the single mom. The day before the mom received the text regarding the car, she passed a used car lot and began to pray, asking the Lord His plans and surrendering her situation to His hands. She accepted whatever His Will was regarding her transportation circumstance. God showed up and revealed His Will for her through Walking with Moms in Need. This ministry provides hope for moms in need by connecting them to people and resources that can help meet those needs, bringing peace and hope of a better tomorrow for her and her children.
A Mom With A New Mission
Corrie, a single mom of a teenager, contacted Walking with Moms in Need for help with her utilities. The core team was able to help her by connecting her with a resource that provided the funds needed to cover her utilities. Members of the core team met with Corrie to present her with a welcome gift and to pray with her. Corrie, a Catholic who had been away from the church, found a home at St. Anthony of Padua. She was also looking for community support and joined the Momentum Single Mothers group at St. Anthony of Padua. Walking With Moms in Need and Momentum Single Mothers are two ministries within our Catholic community providing hope, peace, and healing.
